Recipe: Maple Walnut Pie

Maple Walnut Pie


1 pie shell, baked and cooled

2 cups walnuts, finely chopped

2 eggs, beaten

1 cup light corn syrup

2 teaspoon maple extract

1/2 cup brown sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

2 tablespoons butter, melted

1/4 teaspoon cinnamon

1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg

1/4 teaspoon kosher salt


1) Heat oven to 375°.

2) Spread walnuts in pie shell.  Whisk together remaining ingredients and pour over walnuts.

3) Place pie pan on a cookie sheet and bake for approximately 40 minutes.  Cover crust edges with foil if necessary.  Cool completely before serving.
